60th Reunion · 2027

Where things stand

Nothing is booked. Date, venue and cost all still need to be decided, and the group working on it is still forming. This page says exactly how far along it is.

Nothing is being collected. No deposit, no ticket, no card details. Registration opens only once a date, a venue and a price exist. Saying you are interested costs nothing and commits you to nothing — it just helps size the room.

The last one

50th — October 28, 2017

Held at the Doubletree by Hilton in Mahwah, New Jersey. Bill Krause and Ron Riskin put it together, starting from a post on the old site asking for help.

Sixty is the one people travel for. It is also the one where waiting costs the most, because every year the list gets harder to rebuild.

If anyone wants one

Six jobs

This is how the last two reunions were split up. Nobody is being asked to run the whole thing — taking one of these is a real contribution on its own.

01

Finding people

Work through the classmates with no contact details: call siblings, chase married names, follow up the leads that arrive through this site. This is the job that unblocks every other one.

02

Venue and date

Scout rooms within reach of Franklin Lakes, collect prices and minimums, and settle on a Saturday far enough out that people can plan travel. The 50th was at the Doubletree in Mahwah.

03

Mailings and the list

Keep the class list accurate as corrections come in, send the emails, and work on the classmates we have no email address for. Unglamorous, and the reason the last reunion worked.

04

Money

Work out what the evening has to cost, handle the deposit, and turn on registration once there is something to register for. Nothing is collected until a price exists.

05

Photographs

Collect yearbook pages, dance photographs, game programmes, anything from 1967 — and get it scanned. Far better done in the year before the reunion than in the week after it.

06

The day itself

Name tags with the 1967 photographs on them, working the door, the running order for the evening, and reading the names of the classmates we have lost.

Every decision, in the order it was made

Planning has started for the 60th

We are beginning to plan our 60th reunion for 2027. Nothing is set yet — not the date, not the venue, not the cost. The first job is rebuilding an accurate class list, because a lot of contact information has gone stale in the years since the 50th.

    We need a committee

A reunion this size does not organise itself. If you are willing to help in any capacity — finding classmates, scouting venues, working the door, collecting photographs — say so when you update your information and we will be in touch.

Our 50th took place on October 28, 2017 at the Doubletree by Hilton in Mahwah, NJ. Bill Krause and Ron Riskin ran it. Thanks to everyone who came out.
